Friend's Memory of Hiro

I would like to share some memories of Hiro that particularly made me smile as I go through my grieving process. The following is a memory of Hiro's housemate from Turkey form the days when smart phones were not available and postcards or phone calls were more popular means of getting in touch with each other. I hope, it also makes you smile.

"My name is Murat Cengiz. I am a friend of Hiro's. I know him from Toni's house, where we have spent more than 3 years together, a long time ago. I, Hiro and Tott were particularly close.

Hiro was a really good man. One pure soul. I love him and respect him forever.

He was also a crazy fun man. I was going through some photos/documents today, and found this postcard Hiro and Tott had sent to me back then. If you don't mind, I would like to share the story. They are in Toni's house in San Francisco and get bored one night. So, they decide to drive out for a coffee. But of course it would be too normal to drive to the closest 7eleven for these two. So they end up in Los Angeles 6 hours later with Hiro getting 2 speeding tickets on that same night. They have the best coffee, and surely after 15 minutes they jump back into the car and drive back 6 hours. After all, the goal was to drive to LA only for a cup of coffee and 15 minutes is enough for that! And while in LA, they send me this postcard. A very insignificant memory maybe, but when I saw that postcard today, it brought back a lot of very nice memories.

May he rest in peace."

Murat, goodness. Murat are you on here?????? Drive to LA for coffee alone, that is just mad. I drove to LA once for lunch and drove back. AT LEAST I STAYED FOR LUNCH. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Hiro was everything but ordinary 💚 and Tott was his younger brother in crime. 🤯
